Awesome Weather
The light at the end of the tunnel
In recent weeks our blog has been quite sparse post wise due to portfolio review. At the end of each year at SVA, in the graphic design department, you are required to submit a book of all the work you have completed that year. The portfolio is then judged and graded and from that is determined weather you pass and go on to the next year, or what kind of scholarships you may receive.

New Jersey Wildlife
Nothing like baby sheep to brighten your day.
The past two weekends I’ve gone home NJ where I spent some time in the great outdoors. NJ often gets a bad rap, and while a agree politically and financially its all sorts of messed up, its still a pretty nice diverse state.

Trashcan Fire Bike Ride

Cardon getting (hella*) close to the fiery trashcan of doom.
So yesterday Cardon and I were biking around when we spotted a burning trash can in the Gramercy Park area. So what do two sensible young men do when confronted with a burning trash can? Ride around it and try to take cool looking photos of each other on our fixed gear bikes next to fire! Mad street cred yo.
Cardon won, he got the closest to the burning trash.

A Little Less Wise

Jane and I a little dumber…
Yesterday Janey and had our wisdom teeth removed. Jane had all 4 wisdom teeth out and I had two taken out and another dying molar removed.

Seats taken

They had just bought some sweet Nerf N-Strike Recon CS-6 and were trying to assembly them on a crowded 10 o’ clock L train. Bad idea. As Kid 1 was assembling his gun, he decided to take the tight squeeze next to a ghetto Michael Clark Duncan. He was NOT having any of it. Read the rest of this entry »
Getting in touch with my Masculine side.

Being awesome quad style….
Nothing makes you feel more like a man than riding a quad at top speed from island to island on a giant frozen lake with your woman. Last weekend I had the pleasure to go to the Mehringer’s (Lindsay’s family for those of you who don’t know) lake house on Lake Wallenpaupack in PA. We rode theirs, and our good friends quads all over the frozen lake, stopping to explore islands, fishing holes, and sweet ice/rock formations.

Rockaway Beach
I woke up pretty late this morning and Drew came over to hang out. We went to the market to make some pasta and watch the Super Bowl, when we realized that we were in the East Coast and the game would start at 6:30 pm instead of 3:30 on the West Coast. All this coast to coast talk made us inevitably miss home. So we pick up our coats and hopped on the L and 45 minutes later we ended up at Rockaway Beach.
