Awesome Redesign
I was pretty bummed when the new Pepsi logo was unveiled. In my opinion, the mark looks and feels unresolved, and static, but this is not a design critique, I’ll leave that to other blogs. This blog is about all things awesome great or small and Lawrence Yang has the right idea. Yang’s redesign is awesome, and we all know awesome lives forever. Bravo, this made me smile.
Forever Marks
Today Jeff and I got tattoos. This is Jeff’s first tattoo and the 24 hours leading up to the actual appointment were very tumultuous for him. Bad dreams of insane slashing tattoo artists, and a pack of cigarettes later Jeff was sitting in the chair next to me watching as I got my tattoo, me saying all along it doesn’t hurt and he has nothing to worry about. The Jack White of Graphic Design
I was talking to Graydon the other day and we were discussing graphic design, music, etc and I came to a conclusion: I want to be the Jack White of Graphic Design. That’s my new life goal.
Whats so special about Jack White you ask? The dude is WEIRD. But beyond that, this video explains it all. And if you don’t find yourself saying “I want to be the Jack White of (insert occupation).. Go reassess your life.
