I had the most uncomfortable train ride home today. Never a dull day on the L train.
It went a little something like this:
Episode 1
Two black kids (no older than 12) got on the train after, what seemed like an exciting visit to a KB Toys close-out sale. They had just bought some sweet Nerf N-Strike Recon CS-6 and were trying to assembly them on a crowded 10 o’ clock L train. Bad idea. As Kid 1 was assembling his gun, he decided to take the tight squeeze next to a ghetto Michael Clark Duncan. He was NOT having any of it. Read the rest of this entry »
Valentines day

My beautiful best friend
So this Valentines day I find myself far away from the one I love. Not very fun. I spent the day pretending to do school work in the lab, riding my bike home, getting a flat, walking my bike home, trying to write music, and now watching the Jonas Brothers on Saturday Night Live and drinking a glass of wine. Poor me! Please pity me!!!!! Read the rest of this entry »
Got a minute?

Anyone who has spent any extended amount of time in New York City, or any other major city may know the frustration I am dealing with canvassers. At any given time you could be walking down the street and just a few yards ahead you’ll see a neon shirt or vest donned by some collegey looking person with a clipboard and big smile. As you approach they start to walk with you, block your path, or my favorite walk backwards next to you, staring straight at you, their eyes screaming “YOU’LL NEVER GET AWAY FROM ME!!”

Velcro

The child in me….or my pocket.
So for the past few years I have carried around a very large very cumbersome, leather tri fold wallet. I for some subconscious necrotic reason have trouble throwing away old receipts, random business cards, and used up metro cards (I’m hoping that the metro cards will magically add money to themselves from being in such close proximity to my butt.)

Yucky~
Mosquito’s suck. But when they come with extra baggage from previous relationships it only makes a crappy situation even crappier.

My rebellion

Or sleep deprivation.
So I’m finishing up my first semester of senior year at SVA and looking forward to graduating in the spring. One of the things I am psyched about is getting some sort of normal sleeping pattern!!! Adult sleep. Read the rest of this entry »
Thanks and God Bless
This past week I tried to sell my bike off Craigslist. I got scammed. Why are people so sucky?
I got my BRAND NEW iPod (2 weeks old) stolen. Then a few weeks later Graydon’s BRAND NEW bike (1 week old). Then this..
People suck. It’s kind of like the feeling I got when I watched 2 girls and 1 cup for the first time: Hopeless.
Oh Humanity
Its just too damn easy
Oh My Heart

My beautiful bike no more
Well today I got my bike stolen. I guess it was partly my fault for leaving my lock at home and locking up with my friends extra wire lock (sorry your lock got snipped Cardon!) but it still makes me upset! Bikes are so personal. Its more than a mode of transportation, it becomes an extension of your body. I’ve been fortunate enough to not ever had anything of major value stolen from me in the past, so this comes as quite a blow. It feels like a punch in the stomach. So tomorrow I get a chance to watch the schools security camera footage of the area where my bike was locked. Maybe I’ll get to see the face of the jerk who stole my bike. Don’t know what good it will do but we’ll see. I’ll keep you posted on that! The dude that stole my bike must have been trying to be cool. Read the rest of this entry »
